Grow Something Beautiful

Whether you're starting from scratch or filling in the gaps, seeds and bulbs are one of the most rewarding ways to grow. The Flower Bin carries a curated selection of vegetable and flower seeds, spring-planted summer bulbs, and fall-planted spring bulbs — all chosen for performance in Colorado's Front Range climate. Stop in and let our staff guide you to your picks for planning your season of color from the ground up.

Spring-Planted Bulbs

Dahlias, gladiolus, canna lilies, and elephant ears are planted after the last frost and reward you with bold, tropical color all summer long. We carry a wide range of varieties in our bulb department each spring.

Tulips, daffodils, alliums, and hyacinths go in the ground each fall and burst into bloom the following spring. Stock up in September and October for the best selection.

Planting Tips for Colorado

Colorado's short growing season means timing is everything. Plant spring bulbs after the last frost (typically mid-May in the Front Range). Fall bulbs go in the ground in September or October before the ground freezes. For seeds, check the packet for days-to-maturity and count back from your first expected frost date to know when to start indoors.
